A vicar grabbed her two dogs and a trombone and rushed out of her house after a lightning strike blew a hole in the roof.Reverend Barbara Steadman-Allen, 64, was at home at the vicarage next to St Mary Magdalene Church in South Holmwood when a lightning bolt hit the roof at about 2.30am today (Wednesday) and set fire to the detached house in Betchets Green Road.Rev Steadman-Allen made a quick mental assessment of what she wanted to rescue before fleeing the house as the roof was smouldering.READ...
