In the early hours of last Wednesday (July 19), a dramatic thunderstorm and hundreds of lightning strikes hit Surrey during a summer storm. The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for large hailstones and intense thunderstorms for two days as hot air from mainland Europe moved north.
