SarahEvGeorge published A22 in East Grinstead shut after two people injured in car crash

Part of the A22 had to be completely shut earlier this afternoon (Thursday, July 27) after a two-car crash which left two people with possible head injuries. Police were called to the scene, near the junction with Woodbury Avenue, at about 1pm. A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: "Emergency services attended a collision between two cars on the A22 Lewes Road. "The road was closed in both directions and partly re-opened at around 2.20pm."
