Surrey Mirror published Outcry as swans and fish die at Earlswood Lakes

Swans and fish have died at Earlswood lakes, as the council continues to prepare for dam works at the popular beauty spot. Repair work is set to begin at the lower lake in June and, in preparation, more than 300 fish were moved to the upper lake earlier this month. Reigate and Banstead Borough Council, which moved the fish with help from Horley Piscatorial Society and the Environment Agency, says it needs to do the work to prevent future flooding.
