Three ambulances caught fire outside East Surrey Hospital this afternoon. Firefighters, police officers and paramedics all rushed to the Earlswood hospital at around 2.20pm, after a blaze started in a stationery ambulance near its east entrance. It spread to two other ambulances, while patients and nearby residents reported hearing "bangs" and "explosions".
