Heavy rain caused part of the Belfry Shopping Centre's ceiling to fall away yesterday, sending wet plaster crashing to the floor yards away from shoppers. The constant rain which fell from Monday into Tuesday leaked through into the Redhill centre's internal ceiling at about 2.45pm. This led to a small portion of the ceiling dropping and falling to the ground floor, between Robert Dyas and WHSmith.
