CaitlinWebb published Talks between Southern and rail union paused until tomorrow

Talks between RMT, the rail union, and Southern have been adjourned until noon tomorrow as no resolution has been found. Despite two days of discussion - mediated by Acas - the two bodies have not yet come to an agreement to prevent a planned five-day strike from starting next week. Strike action by members of the union is set to start on Monday and continue until August 12. The union has been embroiled in an ongoing bitter dispute with Southern and its parent company Govia Thameslink...
