Mark Davison published Heavy showers in Redhill and Reigate; a double rainbow in Horley

HEAVY showers are sweeping Reigate and Redhill this afternoon, threatening fetes and fairs.The heavens opened at 1pm after an ominously dark sky spread across the district. Within minutes, heavy rain caused those outdoors to scatter in search of shelter.
