WojciechZ published Second World War veteran and member of The Guinea Pig Club dies...

One of the few remaining members of The Guinea Pig Club has diedDesmond O'Connell, one of the first members of the injured aircrew support network, died in the early hours of May 8 at the age of 97.Mr O'Connell helped set up the club after his aircraft crash landed on April 27 in 1941, during the Second World War. The aircraft had struggled to gain height and crashed into a hillside.The plane burst into flames, and Mr O'Connell was quickly engulfed in flames, having been doused in aviation fuel...
