A flood alert has been issued for several towns and villages in East Surrey following heavy rainfall which is causing river levels to rise. Horley, Smallfield, Hookwood, Gatwick and Charlwood all have a risk of flooding, as well as Leatherhead and Dorking. The Gatwick Stream, Burstow Stream, Salfords Stream and Ifield Brook all have high water levels and the levels are expected to rise throughout the day.
