Surrey Mirror published Wagamama refused permission to open in Reigate
RESTAURANT chain Wagamama has been refused permission to convert a Reigate shop. The Asian food chain wanted to convert the former Edward Dean store at 33 Bell Street into a restaurant. But Reigate and Banstead borough councillors at last night's planning committee meeting have refused to grant permission, citing the loss of retail space in Reigate town centre. Planning officer Andrew Benson said the proposal would reduce the retail provision in the town to 73 per cent retail use, below...
