Surrey Mirror published Looking back: Redhill's street scene 93 years ago

TWO photographs of Redhill taken 93 years ago arrived in the post addressed to Yesteryear on Monday. They were sent anonymously but are remarkably clear and both capture the town centre in great detail as it looked in 1923. The view showing shops and a church is Station Road looking down towards the crossroads. It is interesting because it shows the old Bovril sign on a building on the left which was revealed in recent years when a new Co-op store was opened at the top of the road. The...
