The wildlife at one of Felbridge's most beloved beauty spots is under threat because of deteriorating water quality. Water at Hedgecourt Lake - a haven for breeding birds such as kingfishers, woodcocks, sedge warblers and tufted ducks - is suffering from too much nutrient-rich silt flowing into it from nearby Felbridge Water.The silt, made up of fine sand and other earthly material, sinks to the bottom of the lake, making it muddy and shallower.READ MORE: MP severely burned after starting...
