There is a strange oddity surrounding the M23 motorway, which runs from Hooley just north of the M25 to south of Crawley where it becomes the A23. Unlike most motorways, it doesn't have a Junction 1 - or for that matter a Junction 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 either.
