Firefighters from Leatherhead Fire Station rushed to help crew members from Epsom Fire Station tackle a blaze which almost destroyed a summer house yesterday evening (September 3). The two crews were called at 5.30pm to reports of a house fire on Wilmerhatch Lane, between Ashtead and Epsom, and found "a small summer house in a big field" alight, a spokesman for Epsom Fire Station said.
