Three fire engines were sent to a town house in Claygate after a neighbour heard a smoke alarm going off and dialled 999.Crews from Epsom, Esher and Painshill attended the property in Common Road at about 7.55pm last night (Monday).The fire had broken out in a second floor bedroom and caused serious damage to the bed, however, thanks to the quick actions of the neighbour, firefighters were able to stop it spreading to the rest of the house.READ MORE: Firefighters deal with car fires in...
