Fire crews from Leatherhead have been called to reports of an explosion in the town this evening (Friday) after a huge crack of thunder terrified residents.Surrey Fire and Rescue Service tweeted to say they are responding to a 999 call in relation to it but later added an update to say they had carried out searches and it was just thunder and lightning that caused the noise.Twitter users have posted that they just heard an "almighty" crash of thunder.
