Hard-working care home staff across Surrey have been recognised at an awards ceremony. The Surrey Care Awards, held last month at Epsom Downs Racecourse, commended workers and staff in Godstone, Banstead, Betchworth, Bletchingley and Horley. Among the winners was the nursing team at Broome Park Nursing Home, in Betchworth, who won the Excellence in Dementia Care Team Award and The Royal Alfred Seafarers' society, in Banstead which won Care Provider of the Year.
