Reports of a man seen carrying a knife near Redhill station caused the large police presence in the town earlier today. Police officers were seen questioning commuters at around 4pm and several police cars were spotted heading in the direction of Redstone Hill. Passengers contacted the Surrey Mirror to say they could see officers on the station's platforms moving through the crowds and making enquiries.
