Toxic algae that can be fatal to dogs has been found at two popular walking spots in Surrey. Dog owners have been warned to not allow their pets to swim in water at Windsor Great Park - which includes Virginia Water lake - and Chobham Common due to blue-green algae. Windsor Great Park urged people not to allow their animals into the water back in March and a veterinary hospital in Runnymede has now warned the problem is also affecting Chobham Common as well.
