The controversial council magazine Surrey Matters has been axed. The magazine was closed following a meeting of Surrey County Council's cabinet at the end of March, a move set to save the authority around £175,000 a year.The 20-page publication is produced three times a year and delivered to about 480,000 homes in Surrey.A Freedom of Information Act request by the Surrey Mirror in April last year revealed that the council has spent £1,114,060 on the magazine since 2011.READ MORE:...
