CaitlinWebb published Southern Rail conductors to go on strike yet again

Southern conductors from the rail union RMT are set to go on their fifth strike of the year. The union members are set to walk out on September 7 and September 8 after Govia Thameslink Railway said it will go ahead with controversial plans to change the role of conductors by implementing driver only operation on trains despite no agreement being reached with the union. The plans, which make conductors into on-board supervisors who do not control the doors, were put into action on Sunday...
