A football match had to be abandoned last night after an Oakwood FC player was severely concussed in a clash of heads with an opposition player. Darren Tidey, a former Horley Town defender who now plays for the Oakwood team based in Tinsley Lane, Three Bridges, lay motionless following the clash with East Preston FC player Matt Smith 28 minutes into an RUR Cup match at East Preston's ground.
