Surrey Police is urging East Surrey residents to be vigilant following reports of a new scam in the area which sees criminals pretending to be police officers. The con artists phone their victims pretending to be from either Surrey Police or the Metropolitan Police, telling them there has been fraudulent activity in their bank account, either with items being illegally purchased or with transactions being deleted from statements.Victims are then told that their bank was involved with the scam...
