LukeJarmyn published Road near Shere closed after combine harvester catches fire

A burning combine harvester has led to a road closure between Shere and East Clandon this afternoon (Monday, August 14). The fire is in a field off Staple Lane and has led to scenes of thick, black smoke being pumped into the air near East Clandon. Four fire crews from Guildford, Godalming and Woking Fire Stations were called at about 4.30pm and are still in attendance this evening.
