A Surrey-wide knife amnesty has led to 80 knives being handed into the police in just one week.In the push to highlight that "carrying a knife does not provide protection and can easily be turned against the owner", a range of knives from pre-World War One army swords and bayonets to foot long kitchen blades were collected anonymously, without fear of prosecution.Four 'knife banks', where people could drop them in, were placed across the county at Reigate as well as Woking, Guildford...
