A very sharp frost is gripping Surrey this morning, with temperatures in some places falling well below freezing. The temperature has fallen to -5 degrees Celsius at Gatwick Airport; to -2.8 degrees Celsius at Charlwood and to -3.4 degrees Celsius at Kenley Aerodrome.
