Next week's rail strikes have been suspended, after Southern agreed to meet ASLEF for fresh and "intensive" talks tomorrow (Wednesday). Industrial action was set to affect the majority of the Southern network next Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday with members of the ASLEF union planning to stage three 24-hour walkouts in an ongoing row over bringing in driver-only operated (DOO) trains.
