Surrey Mirror published One in twelve violent crimes in Surrey dealt with by an apology

One in 12 violent crimes in Surrey are being dealt with by an apology, including offences as serious as kidnapping and stalking.In 2015/16 one in 12 violence against the person offences was recorded by Surrey Police as being dealt with by a community resolution, which means the victim agrees to accept either an apology or another act to make up for the offence.In total, 1,372 violence against the person offences, out of 16,316, were dealt with this way.In Surrey, one in 11 assault with injury...
